Deceased: Brian Traynor of West Chester PA and originally from Havertown passed away on Sunday May 31, 2020 after a struggle with leukemia. He was 77. He is predeceased by his parents Catherine (Devlin) and John, his brothers Patrick and Kevin and his former in-laws Stan and Veronica Osinski. He is survived by his soul mate of 55 plus years, Ronnie: his beloved daughter Kelly Venneri (Mike) and his terrific son Mike (Pam) and 5 wonderful grandchildren: Caroline, Will, Meredith, Sophia and Michael; his sister Anne Ebert. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces: Keith, Emily, Bridget, Tara and Pat Traynor; Joe Traynor, Kristen, Lauren and Jeff Ebert; Kevin, Corinne, Sean, Erin and Ryan Traynor; cousins John, Sean, Brendan and Neal Devlin; and of course, by the guys at The Courts. He was a graduate of Villanova (class of 65) and a decorated Marine Corps Captain who served with distinction in Vietnam. He was a firm believer in the saying "once a Marine, always a Marine- Semper Fi". Due to the current situation, Funeral Service and Interment will be Private. Mr. Tucker was a retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with The Department of Justice. He was a member of North Coast Presbyterian Church in Encinitas, CA. Lady's Island, South Carolina - Col. Frank Turner, USMC Retired, 80, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023, at home after a brave battle with Leukemia. Col. Turner was a native of Oil City, PA. He attended Oil City High School and upon graduation attended Slippery Rock University. He was an outstanding wrestler in both high school and college. Upon graduating from Slippery Rock University, he entered into active duty with the United States Marine Corps and proudly served our country until his retirement in 1995. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served several tours of duty as an artilleryman and a Naval Aviation Observer for Navel Gunfire. He was awarded numerous citations over the course of his career to include five Purple Hearts. He served for a total of 33 years in various command and staff assignments worldwide. Upon his retirement, he opened Turner Home Inspections in Beaufort, SC in 1996 and retired in 2022. During that time, he served as a member and past President of the SC Association of Home Inspectors, he was a member and President of the South Carolina Chapter for the American Society of Home Inspectors
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on the long-distance rifle range, an occasional round of golf and traveling to see his grandchildren. He also had a passion for cooking, something he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends.
Col. Turner was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Turner and his beloved wife of more than fifty years, Meryle Turner. He is survived by his sons Michael (Cheri) Turner, Sr of Murfreesboro, TN and Patrick (Chrystie) Turner of Lady's Island, SC, grandchildren Michael Turner, Jr., Ashley Turner, Grant Turner, Drew Turner, Logan Turner, Brooke Turner and great grandchildren Evan, Braxton, Bennett and Harper, his mother Bea Turner, sisters Nancy and Judy along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
